Mosaics with Epoxy Resin with Joanne Hiscox

Through hands-on, step-by-step instruction, Joanne and Art Hiscox will help you create a lightweight wall Mosaic for interior use and then teach you how to apply of a coat of epoxy resin to the entire project. The epoxy resin encases the mosaic, provides an illusion of depth and increases the color intensity of the mosaic. Student provided mosaic materials include glass, stone, tile, broken china and found objects. Mosaic materials can also be purchased from the Instructors during class. $90 Materials Fee to Instructors covers adhesive, grout, epoxy resin, 24” x 24” lightweight mosaic base with hanging hardware, equipment use, cutting services and table of free materials. Wall pieces with center mirrors will be 24” x 30” and will incur additional Materials fees based on mirror size. A list of student-provided materials and required tools will be mailed upon registration. Projects can be shipped home at the end of class. This project-based Workshop is open to all skill levels, but is limited to 9 Students. Joanne and Art Hiscox, specialists in architectural and decorative glass, are best known for their inlaid tables and outdoor mosaic pieces. Their work is in collections throughout the US and Canada.
