This workshop is for all kinds of
painters at all levels. The emphasis is on searching
for personal content, design, surface and
composition. Participants will explore personal
aspects of their painting as they work on design
elements and principles. One option we will explore
will involve using the media lab in the room to
print our own digital images to incorporate into the
work through collage various collage techniques.
Students can bring images with them or use available
digital cameras to create images during the first
couple days. There will be slide shows, assignments,
personal and group critiques as well as lots of
painting time. |

| Donna Watson is
a signature member and president
emeritus of the National Watercolor
Society. Her work has been published
in American Artist, The Artists
Magazine and Watercolor Magic. During
her 28 year career she has painted
landscapes and floral in watercolor,
gouache abstractions and most
recently, acrylic mixed media work. |
