Celebration of Landscape Painting
Exhibition, Paint Out, Lecture, Workshops, and More!

The heritage of landscape painting in Sedona is represented by a diverse group of contemporary artists (listed below) in this unique exhibition/event. The event features a diversity of style and approach and includes one public paint-out during the First Friday Gallery Walk April 7. Artists are invited to capture sunset and/or nocturne in various Sedona locations.

The Exhibition will be on display April 6–9 in the Theatre Studio at the Sedona Arts Center and will showcase both studio and plein air work with artists adding plein air work as they complete them throughout the event. The celebration concludes on April 9 with a panel discussion on the relationship between studio and plein air work in the process of painting, with awards and wine reception following. “When I paint from life outdoors I feel as though I am in direct contact with the living spirit of nature—every stroke of my brush guided by thoughts of the infinite, apart from myself, which I undeniably remain a part of.” —Williamson Tapia

Featuting Artists: Stock Schlueter, Rachel Schlueter, Susan Pitcairn, Williamson Tapia, Larisa Aukon, Betty Carr, Lynn Heil, Gretchen Lopez, Cyndi Thau, Carl Dalio, Vince Fazio, Claudia Hartley, and Cody DeLong
