Imagine watching clouds drift slowly across the sky changing shape as they go. You may see an animal, a face or any number of things. Seeing familiar shapes in clouds is an experience all human beings share and it can be a relaxing pastime. Karen developed Kumomi as an effective way to calm the body and mind in a busy world. Kumomi brings the essence of cloud gazing, combines it with art and music to invoke a merging of the senses for a powerful form of meditation. Kumomi can be practiced any time and anywhere!

Brilliant colors interacting with each other is the core of the Kumomi practice followed by mindful drawing. The goal is to be present in the moment, let go of expectations and to enjoy the creative process.

In this three hour session you will paint on several surfaces with brilliant acrylic inks then draw using a variety of pens and will construct a reusable artful container to store and carry the finished work. Artists and non artists alike can benefit from learning the art of Kumomi and using it as a way to relax and open the creative mind.

All supplies included.
All levels of experience welcome.
