Dee Durkee
A practicing visual
artist for over 35 years, Dee Durkee and her
photographer husband relocated in Sedona in 2002
where she continues to work primarily in fiber. Of
her current work, she says "My textural
fiber-collage vessels and jewelry are becoming
more sculptural, reflecting my interest in ancient
Native American architectural ruins and
artifacts." Dee's work has been included in
several prestigious national exhibitions such as
"Contemporary Quilting by 14 Michigan Artists" at
the Saginaw Museum of Art, MI; "American Crafts"
at the Springfield Art Association Gallery, IL,
and "ArtPark Fibers" Invitational in Lewiston, New
York.
