Barbara Ragalyi
"Sometimes I feel shapes and lines as life
energy flowing through space, at times forming
recognizable objects, other times, abstract
shapes." Barbara often uses the circle as a
symbol for peace: complete, whole, the
still-point, a stopping place which draws one
into other dimensions. She continually
experiments with acrylics and new acrylic
mediums and recently began using a mouth
atomizer to blow acrylics formulated for air
brushes. She also works with oil pastels,
Polaroid emulsion transfers, monotypes and
serigraph prints. Her latest experimentation is
with digital images taken with her camera, then
manipulated in Photoshop. |
